About Riya Mehta

Hello there🤗 My name is Riya and I'm a political science and economics student at the University of Toronto, one of the top 20 institutions in the world. Currently I serve as a youth council member at the United Nations Institute Development Organization, working to co-create a guidebook on youth policy and lasting impacts in the social justice industry. I was formerly a student advisor & collaborator for IBM, where I was on the Apprentice Garages committee to overlook the building of innovation programs. I research about emerging technologies that help to build a sustainable health care system, and I'm passionate about creating a global organization to improve our networks for policy and advocacy. I've had the honor of taking the stage at conferences such as Web Summit, SXSW, IBM's Evoke, Reuters, Collision, TED for youth, and much more! I've also been named a top female entrepreneur to watch in 2021, a 25 under 25 Lynk Elite Expert Woman, a FLIK Scholarship Award Winner and a Force of Business Change by Business and Finance Magazine in Europe.
