About Rob Miller

While my experiences have not all been the "best" for a career path in the reliability field, they have all taught me different aspects of the business world. There is no need for maintenance unless the plant is profitable and the plant can't be profitable unless the maintenance performed on the machinery is performed correctly and with as little interruption to the production processes. It is always possible to "replace" a machine/line/process but the people who maintain and operate them are the true heart of any business. Without them any endeavor is destined to fail. Teaching maintenance and operations personnel the impact of their actions is what it is all about. Given all of the information most people want to do the best job they can. When someone gets it you can see their entire outlook on "work" change. It is rewarding and what makes me enjoy what I do. If you pick a career you love, you'll never work a day in your life. Specialties: Vibration Analysis, Dynamic Balancing, Infrared Thermography, Motor Testing, Ultrasonic testing, Precision Maintenance, Laser Alignment, Nuclear Quality Control Inspections, Work Package Generation & Planning.
