About Robert Fabek

Robert Fabek is a Senior Researcher in Department for Energy System Planning at the Energy Institute Hrvoje Požar. He obtained BSc degree from Faculty of Mining, Petroleum and Geology, University of Zagreb, in 1997 and MSc degree at the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of Zagreb, in 2005. Mr. Fabek has 9 years of experience in petrochemical industry and 7 years in the energy field (petroleum, gas, renewable). His main scope of work and research activities comprises the area of planning, organizational aspects and development of oil sector. He has a wide experience in several national and international projects for the development of oil sector. Main areas of expertise include spatial analysis of present energy demand, energy efficiency, energy economics, energy sector planning, analysis and comparison of different energy supply options, construction of energy balance, onsite energy survey, energy statistics systems and analysis of security of energy supply. He has experience in oil data gathering standards and methodologies, calculation of emergency oil stockholding obligation in accordance with EU Directive on emergency oil stockholding, developing guidelines for biofuel scheme in Croatia and many other projects related to energy sector.
