About Robert Hartman

I am an operations executive with experience managing multiple manufacturing sites, global supply chains, product development teams, and industrial and aerospace sales organizations. In my most recent roles I have been led the strategic plans process and M&A activities. I have a particular strength in driving continuous improvement through employee engagement and the implementation of lean and six sigma methodologies. In 2006, the Snap-on facility I managed in Murphy, NC was awarded the North Carolina Governor's Award for Workforce Development. In 2007 this same facility was awarded the Silver Medallion by the North Carolina Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing. In 2010 this facility was named a finalist in Industry Week Magazine's Best Plants award program. I also have extensive experience with new product development. As a design engineer, I brought to market several successful new products and am the inventor on five US patents. Most of my experience has been with power tools for professional mechanics and industrial users. This includes pneumatic, cordless, and corded electric power tools.
