Background
About Robert Kershaw
I’m a passionate educator and coach with over 10 years of experience using sport (particularly NFL Flag football) as a powerful tool for inclusion, engagement, and community growth. What began as a lunchtime club in a Middleton primary school has grown into a nationally recognized program, transforming the lives of hundreds of young people, including those with special educational needs and from underrepresented backgrounds. At St. Anne’s Academy, I launched a small flag football team that went on to win regional and national championships, ultimately representing Great Britain at the NFL Flag International Games in the U.S. We’ve built thriving boys’ and girls’ teams, partnered with NFL UK and the Minnesota Vikings, and helped over 400 students engage with the sport. I’m driven by the belief that sport can change lives—and I’m committed to creating opportunities that make that possible for every student.
