About Robert Scott

I am a Data and Systems designer with 17 years of experience in the Higher Education sector. I undertake application design and implementation, business analysis, project management, service support and data governance. Whilst working for my current employer, I have developed my skills in PowerBI, SQL, SSRS, SSIS and SSDT alongside database design to become an integral member of staff within the Academic Registry and IT departments. I enjoy bridging both disciplines and have thrived at designing processes and enhancing services within a small, specialist institution. I am enthusiastic about problem-solving, helping users achieve their business goals and improve their experience when they ask "there must be an easier way.". I push for innovation and better communication be that verbal or written on the web, documentation or on work tools like MS Teams, SalesForce CRM or Jira and Halo Service Desks. My design and data skills from college and university are readily applicable to reports, documentation, websites and digital content. I draw upon experience from the film industry in managing large volumes of data, meeting strict deadlines and making loads of cups of tea.
