At heart I’m a futurist, I love to explore predictions and possibilities about the future, factor in current state-of-the-art technology and see what ideas can emerge from the present that will ultimately better the experience of living. I started my career as a concept designer, branched off into industrial design, engineering, brand marketing and commercial strategy whilst consulting for some of the world’s largest multinational corporations such as Unilever, Diageo and Cisco Systems. I developed and launched my own award winning products and brands within a wide range of categories from consumer electronics and furniture to toys and personal care and developed an ability to analyse markets and find the gaps. From developing manufacturing and sales experience I moved fully into global commercial strategy and evolved into a founder and CEO entirely unafraid to explore and execute my vision. I’ve learned how to drive multi-layered corporate missions, focus on customer value proposition and build great teams, motivated and able to work in harmony to get the job done. As an inherent creative I have the ability to take a business model or product that already exists, blend it with emergent technology and shifting social patterns in order to produce original and market disrupting businesses. In 2012 I conceived, developed and co-founded EvoShave a globally patented unisex wet shaving system and brand to compete with Gillette, Schick and subscription model razor brands in-store and online. I personally designed and engineered the entire system and set up a factory for in-house manufacturing and order fulfillment. I have raised $10m in funding since inception and launched our Series 1 and Series 2 systems in over 25 countries across four continents with a focus on emerging markets within Asia. With millions of units in the hands of customers around the world, EvoShave is tipped to take significant market share in the near future and form and entirely new category of shaving.
