Background
About Roberta Deustachio
Roberta d'Eustachio (Rd'E) is an entrepreneur obsessed with delivering media from the social investor/philanthropist's point of view. That desire led to founding the global-digital Giving Magazine, reaching millions, The American Benefactor, the first consumer magazine for philanthropists, Giving Magazine + Facebook Instant Articles and at present, The Giving Collective. Rd'E has consulted with, and/or received investment from, leading global brands to advance ideas in media for philanthropists, including: The Economist, the Financial Times, Euro Money/Institutional Investor, the Pitcairn Family Office, Fidelity Capital and the World Bank as well as philanthropists and social enterprises around the world. She also served as Chief-of-Staff to Dame Stephanie Shirley, the British Government’s Founding Ambassador for Philanthropy, appointed by then Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Rd'E created and executed the strategy 'to give philanthropists a voice', working with elected members of Parliament, country philanthropy leaders, philanthropists, and members of the Prime Minister's staff and others. For nearly twenty years Ms d'Eustachio served as philanthropic adviser to Dame Stephanie Shirley (DSS), who has given more than $100 million to charity.(Recently, Rd’E assisted in all aspects of DSS’s TED TALK 2015, including writing, editing and dramatic coaching of the script, which has now received more than 1.8 million views.) In Rd'E was appointed Venture Director to the World Bank’s program called World Links, founded by James Wolfensohn, then president of the Bank at the time, to get internet in schools worldwide. A graduate of Stockton University, receiving a B.A, Rd'E went on to achieve her MFA in Creative Writing/Poetry from the prestigious Writers’ Workshop at the University of Iowa. Rd'E is often invited to give speeches and advisory services on all aspects of the giving journey, across Asia, Australia, Middle East, Europe, United Kingdom and the USA.
