I am the Head of Digital Infrastructure at Australian Payments Plus leading a team of Infrastructure, Network, Database, Cloud and DevSecOps engineers responsible for supporting Australia's key payment brands such as BPAY, Osko, Eftpos and NPP. I have spent 15 years in the Australian payments industry and well-versed in managing industry-critical payment systems with high SLAs.I am a keen and passionate advocate in promoting strategies that explores the full potential of Cloud services such as AWS, Azure, and GCP in hosting the key infrastructure to deliver Australia’s real-time payment solutions. I consider myself a peoples' advocate who strives to foster a highly skilled, engaged, and independent team of engineers; who are keen to explore and consider any solutions outside-the-box, and challenge any perceived status-quo.My responsibilities include:* Sharing and practicing the benefits of DevSecOps principles and practices to peers in Australian Payment Plus.* Managing a team of senior and junior engineers with cross-specialty backgrounds in systems, networks, databases, SaaS and microservices.* Design, build and delivery of automation, orchestration and configuration management of both public and hybrid cloud services, hosts and devices.* Securing of IT infrastructure for PCI-DSS (Payment Cards Industry - Data Security Standard) and TDIF compliance* Meeting business SLAs through ongoing system performance and capacity reviews and uplifts* Meeting the business' service continuity expectations by continually improving site reliability and availability. My short-term goal is to drive efficiency in our team through DevSecOps practices, effective automation and configuration management across Australian Payments Plus' entire fleet of core business infrastructure. My long-term goal is to engage in disruptive projects specifically in areas which seek to integrate digital identity, and real-time and enhanced payments experience.
