About Roberto Pisterna
As an Environmental Specialist, I have been working in Eni Rewind S.p.A.(ex Syndial S.p.A- Eni group) since December 2017. In my current position, I coordinate projects related to monitoring and remediation of contaminated groundwater, supervising contractors' activities. I regularly revise groundwater monitoring reports, hydraulic barriers design and management and groundwater numerical modelling. My work is both related to hydrogeological issue and to remediation design, in projects related to relevant Italian areas of interest (Italian SIN) As an Environmental consultant at Ramboll ENVIRON Italy S.r.l.(2008 - 2017), I worked on behalf of key multinational corporations, operating in the chemical and petrochemical area, affected by environmental liabilities and litigations due to contamination by different compounds (hydrocarbons, pesticides, fluorinated compounds, solvents and metals). My responsibilities included technical management of projects related to several technical areas such as data analysis, statistical and geographical analysis, using dedicated software (Databases and GIS). I worked also on design, management and coordination of field activities related to characterization, monitoring and remediation of contaminated lands (mainly soil and groundwater). Main activities included- write / revise technical reports/notes- analysis and representation of geographical data, data interpolation and Thiessen polygons- field data collection- supervision to monitoring and installation of barrier wells- data analysis for evaluation of efficiency and efficacy of idraulic barriers using statistical methods- statistical and graphical analysis of water contamination data in order to correlate contaminants sources and water contamination- field work coordination with sub-contractors and clients- Liaising with regulators and clients- acquifer tests- mentorship of junior staff- former experience, as junior geologist, in supervision of compensation grouting (tunnel drilling).
