About Robin Nesbeda

Robin has over 20 years of experience in the fields of risk management, rescue and pre-hospital emergency medicine in remote environments, and experiential education. She currently works as a fulltime ski patroller, teaches wilderness medicine, is a member of a backcountry search and rescue team, is a federal disaster responder, and a board member for a non-profit aimed at providing outdoor education for women. She has served as the health and safety officer for environmental field studies in the US and aboard, worked on tall ships, and traveled the world. She has a B.A. in Geology from Colby College and a M.S. in Disaster Science from University of Richmond. When not in her gardens, she enjoys backpacking in the summer, backcountry skiing in the winter, and trail running during any season. She is a perpetual-beginner whitewater kayaker and currently learning to mountain bike. She lives in the mountains of western Maine with a collection of rescued pets.
