About Roger Horning
I became a Christian during the last week of my senior year in high school. Shortly after that I began working with junior high students in my church youth group. During this time I received the call into ministry and pursued training at the Master's College. While a student at Master's, I discovered Church of the Canyons. I began ministry at Church of the Canyons as a high school youth leader in September 1988. By February of the next year I was brought on staff in the youth ministry. During this time I met my wife Michele who was serving as a high school youth leader. We were married in 1991 and in 2004 transitioned to my current position as Pastor of Leadership Development. During our time at COC, Michele and I have been blessed with four wonderful children. On April 1, 2019 I began an exciting position as the Lead Pastor at Foothills Church in Rancho Santa Margarita. I have a degree both from The Master's College and The Master's Seminary and am Ordained in the EFCA.
