About Roger Uhe

As an aspiring professional in the business world, I am currently pursuing my education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Gies College of Business, majoring in Finance and seeking a 2024 summer internship in Chicago.I am originally from Springfield, Illinois. While I traveled extensively in my youth, I have always enjoyed returning to Illinois and being near family and friends. This is why I plan to build a career in the Chicagoland area.Throughout my academic journey, I have consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic and dedication to excellence. On the professional front, I have gained valuable experience in diverse environments. In 2022, I worked at Meijer as a full-time Supermarket Shopper. This role allowed me to develop strong execution and customer service skills. That same summer, I served as a part-time Tennis Instructor at the Springfield Park District. By fostering an inclusive and empowering environment, I not only enhanced my students' abilities but also honed my organizational and planning skills.Summer 2023 provided me with business-focused experiences. As an apprentice for Guided Stock Trading, I learned much about the investment and trading worlds. Exposure to this area proved to be challenging and exciting, all at the same time.Beyond my academic and work endeavors, I actively engage in leadership and extracurricular activities. I play singles and doubles with the university's Intramural Tennis Program. My interest in investments led me to join and participate in Illinois' Crypto Currency Club. In my upcoming role as Fall 2023 Rush Chair at Phi Delta Theta social fraternity, I will motivate members and organize events to increase membership. This experience will refine my leadership and communication skills, making me an effective team player. I have also dedicated time as a Ronald MacDonald House volunteer, and I took part in a Matthew Project Fundraiser, where I organized and co-led initiatives.I am driven by a passion for fostering relationships and making a positive impact on those around me. With a strong foundation in academic excellence, diverse work experience, and a commitment to leadership, I am excited to contribute to a dynamic and collaborative professional environment. I look forward to connecting with fellow professionals, exploring new opportunities, and making a meaningful difference in the world.
