About Rohan P.

Industrial Engineer | Product Designer @| Cross-Functional Collaborator | Driven by ImpactHi, I'm Rohan Prashant Patkar—a curious, solution-driven industrial engineer passionate about designing meaningful, efficient systems that improve everyday life. With a Master's in Industrial and System Engineering from the University of Michigan and hands-on experience in mechanical design at Godrej & Boyce, I thrive at the intersection of user experience, product design, and operational excellence. At Godrej, I led design updates for ergonomic office solutions, contributing to customer satisfaction gains and cost efficiencies. Whether it was boosting comfort with ActiLumbar enhancements or reducing assembly time through iterative prototyping, I brought a keen eye for detail and a deep respect for collaboration.Beyond engineering, I'm energized by community engagement and leadership. From leading social strategies with GISO to promoting civic awareness through Turn Up Turnout, I’m driven to create inclusive, purpose-filled environments wherever I go.Currently, I’m exploring opportunities that allow me to blend technical design, data-driven decision-making, and creative problem-solving—especially in spaces where human-centered design meets engineering. I'm also open to exploring new job roles and expanding my domain knowledge to pursue more rewarding and exciting opportunities beyond design.Let’s connect if you're into industrial engineering, thoughtful design, or smart systems, or just a great conversation over coffee.
