About Ron Hedger

I am a Director and Fire Engineering consultant for TecFire, offering a wide range of commercial fire safety and fire engineering services. My background is in Local Authority Fire Service, for whom I fulfilled various operational command roles as well as managerial roles in fire safety enforcement, fire engineering and fire safety training. On leaving after 30 years of Service, I set up TecFire to offer dispassionate, high quality fire safety advice to as broad a spectrum of clients as possible. My two passions are safety and excellence, and I am happiest when responding to challenge. I am always eager to connect with other motivated people, especially if they hold different opinions from me! To assist me in achieving this, I am an active and passionate member of the IFE and volunteer as a Branch Official for the IFE Southern Branch and as a peer reviewer for Engineering Council registration. I am registered as an Incorporated Fire Engineer and am currently studying for my MSc in Fire Safety Engineering at The University of Central Lancashire, with a view to registering at Chartered Engineer level.
