About Ron Scott

As an experienced educator, administrator, and builder of programs, I am striving to help workforce development move into the new world. Our learners know that they need new programs, new options, new configurations, and they're looking to us to help them develop that structure. Doing this work is where I want to be. I am a lover of stories in all their forms. I specialize in writing, but I also produce podcasts and videos. I'm particularly invested in multimedia, and I enjoy facilitating good story-telling as well. I am an experienced administrator and project manager who communicates openly and transparently, makes sure that his team understands that they are supported, and who values accountability and production. I am a former programmer who still enjoys coding (even if I no longer get paid to do it), and I have successfully developed several technical products that enhance my team's ability to do its job. I have been an advocate for intentional online learning since its infancy, and I am Quality Matters certified. I am an instructional designer, even if it took me years to recognize that that was what I am doing. Designing effective curricula that meets student needs is one of my passions, and I have years of experience in designing, developing, implementing, teaching, and assessing courses in a variety of formats, for a variety of programs.
