About Rosa Boone

Ever since I watched "Groen Goud"(Tegenlicht documentary), I knew that ecosystem restoration was the direction I wanted to follow. Thats why I devoted my studies to this subject. Having finished an interdisciplinary bachelor and an Earth Science master (cum laude) at the University of Amsterdam, I have mainly focussed on nature conservation, soil and ecosystem restoration, biogeochemical cycles and the application of Remote Sensing in environmental analysis. During my time as a student, I have flown with drones, worked with ArcGIS and LiDAR, have done fieldwork in different places, have set up my own company in half a year, and studied in Edinburgh for a semester. All this has brought me to my current position; a PhD at the Radboud University, where I am researching the effect of biodiversity on soil functionality in an agricultural setting. Simultaneously, I am developing a soil sensor, that will "sense" soil biological health. Interested? Send me an email: rosa.boone@ru.nl
