About Rosalia Serna
I received my PhD in Physics from Universidad Complutense in 1992, Madrid, Spain), and since 2009 I am Research Professor of CSIC (Spanish Research Council) at the Instituto de Optica (Madrid, Spain). I am a project leader and founding member of the Laser Processing Group (https://lpg.io.csic.es/). My research interests are within Applied Physics, in the fields of photonics, laser matter-interaction, nanotechnology and nanosciences. I have carried out my research activities at several institutions, including CSIC, CIEMAT, University of Oxford (UK), FOM-AMOLF (The Netherlands), and University of Cambridge (UK). I am co-author of more than 200 publications and 3 book chapters in the fields of applied physics, optics, nanotechnology and materials science. I have a large experience in managing research projects, both national, EU and I have run bilateral collaborations with USA and China. I have also experience as advisor in Spanish and European Union evaluation panels
