About Rowen McBride-Pilon
Rowen is a BFA Honors graduate from York University and a certified RAD ballet teacher from The National Ballet School of Canada. Originally from Guelph, Ontario Rowen has trained in modern forms including Graham and Limon, contemporary, and various ballet technique forms including RAD, Cecchetti, and Vaganova. Rowen participated in the 2019/20 York Dance Ensemble where she was able to work with renowned choreographers and dance artists such as Susan Lee, Raine Madison, and Sophie Goyette-Hamels. In June 2021, Rowen launched The Guelph Dance Emerging Artist Intensive in tandem with the Guelph Dance Festival in which she began to develop in her last year of university. She has had the opportunity to perform with Janet Johnson’s Portal Dance Company in the 2021 Guelph Dance Festival as well as to train with Iratxe Ansa of Metamorphosis Method as well as Hannes Langolf and Antonin Rioche at the b12 festival in Berlin, Germany in 2019 and 2023. Rowen currently works as performer, choreographer, and teacher in Toronto, Ontario.
