About Ruchna Nigam

I have been working in security for over a decade now, primarily with the research arms at security vendors, building out threat research capabilities and enhancing visibility into the threat landscape. This has afforded me the opportunity to work on a variety of initiatives - ranging from setting up proactive hunting frameworks targeted at specific threats, to vulnerability research on connected/embedded devices, to reverse engineering malware targeting different devices & platforms identifying emerging threats. I'm intrigued by and strive towards the application of threat research to improving products & enriching detection capabilities. My research and findings have featured on ArsTechnica, Slashdot, The Register, ThreatPost, Dark Reading, and SCMagazine, among others.
