About Ruth Lamachia

As the Director of Business Administration at First United Methodist Church, I have been responsible for creating and maintaining a positive and effective administrative environment that supports the work of the church, its pastors, staff, and congregation for over 11 years. I have overseen the care, upkeep, and maintenance of the church building and its property, ensuring a high level of daily functioning and smooth operation for the future. I have also administered the personnel and business affairs of the church, working with church members and staff to achieve the objectives of the church. I have managed the financial and budget planning, the vendor contracts, the payroll processing, and the customer service and sales management. I have used my experience as a senior insurance manager in the financial services industry to transition to the church setting and leverage my skills and expertise in this field. I have also strived to use my talents as a leader to help build up both my staff and congregation, encouraging them to grow in their skills and gifts to help support our mission.
