About Ryan Arment

I am a Java Full Stack Developer and a graduate of Skill Distillery, a rigorous and intensive bootcamp that teaches Java, Spring, Angular, SQL, REST, and AWS technologies. I have designed and implemented several Java full stack applications, using Spring Boot, SQL, JavaScript, Angular, REST, JSON, and deployed them to AWS. I have also applied test driven development using JUnit, and followed agile and kanban methodologies, working remotely with GitHub, Zoom, Slack, and Trello. Before becoming a software developer, I was a Senior Programs and Facilities Director at ABC Kids Climbing, where I managed departmental staff, developed curriculum, trained staff and guides, obtained permits, organized community events, managed budgets and schedules, and developed emergency protocols. I am also a certified rock guide by the American Mountain Guides Association, and a former climbing coach of US Olympic sport climbers and 10 time national youth climbing team champions. I am passionate about climbing and software development, and I am seeking a challenging development position where I can leverage my skills and experience to create innovative and impactful solutions.
