About Ryan Gunther

I am an experienced finance professional with 6+ years in banking and credit analysis, currently finishing a master's degree in statistics at Brock University. I am writing a thesis using computer vision and machine learning on baseball biomechanical data, with the goal of working as a data scientist, computer vision scientist, or machine learning engineer upon completing my degree in early 2026. My research involves dimensionality reduction on spatiotemporal time-series data, image / video segmentation, and biomechanics analysis, mostly in R and Python. I also led team-wide audits for quality assurance and created monthly dashboards to display progress towards key performance indicators. Before that, I worked for TD Canada Trust across two branch roles, specializing in unsecured credit and customer service, while obtaining my finance degree from the University of Ottawa. I am proficient in SQL, R, Python, financial modeling and Excel, and have a strong passion to learn and grow my skills for a long and successful career.
