With over 24 years in Military, Security, and Humanitarian Aid, I bring seasoned experience in managing high-stakes operations, crisis response, and strategic security planning across Africa, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Currently, as Regional Head of Health, Safety, and Security with the Norwegian Refugee Council, I lead risk management initiatives, crisis responses, and training for teams across Central and Eastern Europe. My career spans numerous impactful roles, including developing humanitarian access strategies, implementing global risk systems, and building crisis management capacities. Previously, I’ve managed critical security programs with Action Against Hunger, UNICEF, and International Medical Corps, often in post-conflict and high-risk environments. This broad exposure has refined my expertise in operations management, coordination, and security, always with a focus on Humanitarian Principles and gender-inclusive practices. Passionate about Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR), Women, Peace, and Security (WPS), and restorative justice, I thrive in roles that blend tactical decision-making with strategic, values-driven leadership. My background includes extensive frontline experience, from firefighting with UK Fire & Rescue Services to advising on mine risk awareness with the United Nations, alongside robust academic training in Human Resources and Criminology as well as Russian as a Second Language.
