About Ryan Hall
I was saved during college in 1996 when the bass player in my heavy metal band invited me to church. Coming from a Catholic background, I didn't understand God's grace. Once it clicked, I was baptized and transformed by Christ. After college, I was a school teacher, but God began calling me into pastoral ministry. I served as a youth pastor for 6 years. After completing seminary and church plant training, my wife, Lauren and I planted Anchor Church in the southwest suburbs of Chicago in September of 2009. I love preaching God's Word and shepherding the flock of Christ. I also love coaching church planters, apologetics, leading preaching cohorts and sharing the Gospel in public schools. Lauren and I have been married since and we have 3 children born in '02,'04 and '06. My hobbies and interests include running, sci-fi, chess, listening to Audible and traveling.
