I believe in having an owner mindset no matter what your job is. Not just because it's good for business but because it's good for people.Inspiring teamwork and personal growth have always been vital to my work in financial services. So I was thrilled when Talcott Financial Group brought me on as their Head of Retail Distribution to implement our sales strategy and build our distribution network.Seeing the impact that annuities can have on a family's well-being is rewarding work. I consider it a win when a partner grows their business or a team member surpasses their personal best. My focus is to ensure that our partners have the tools they need to see that work through.Having an owner mindset means I bring that focus to my work, every day. My main priorities are:• strategic planning: creating marketing strategy, annual budgets and business development goals• relationship management: fostering direct communication and client satisfaction• coaching and team leadership: empowering my team to build skills and confidence in the fieldMy year is never complete without a family vacation with my wife and three children. There's always so much we learn together—from new foods and cultures to navigating public transportation in another language. In fact, this taught me one of my favorite lessons: it's okay to get a little lost sometimes. It’s the best way to discover new things and figure out new challenges for yourself.
