Currently exploring Australia after recently completing a seasonal role as a bat data analyst🦇with Scott Cawley in Dublin I have a in master's degree in Conservation Behaviour at Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT). I also have a Bsc (Hons) Applied Freshwater and Marine Biology also obtained at GMIT. I am now seeking employment in environmental consultancy and research. During my five years at GMIT, I have developed strong key skills such as statistical analysis using R studio, displaying coordinate data using GIS, working with large data sets, working in a laboratory environment, and collecting data in the field. I am also highly experienced in working as part of a team while using my own initiative to be innovative and forward thinking. I have built up strong skills in analysing acoustic data of organisms and have so far worked with the acoustics of bottlenose dolphins and Irish bat species including lesser horseshoe bat. I am experienced in using both Raven Pro (ver-1.6) and Kaleidoscope applications to view and process acoustic data. I have also previously worked with the Marine and freshwater research center (MFRC) at GMIT as part of my work placement. this work assisted a PhD student with their project involving behavior and ID skills of grey seals on the Blasket Islands. This position introduced me to working with photo-identification of organisms and processing acoustic data.
