About Ryan Moniz

My name is Ryan Moniz and I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering. During my studies, I gained an interest in coding hardware, specifically developing code for microcontrollers and embedded systems, mainly in C and MIPS assembly languages. However, I’m eager to work on anything that allows me to put my coding skills in action, whether that is in firmware, software, or testing. For about three years immediately following my graduation, I coded testing programs as a Characterization Engineer for Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho. With product engineers, I optimized individual tests and created full test flows in order to create part specification documents and debug part issues. Through this experience, I learned about code versioning and how testing works in a corporate setting. Now I’m in the Seattle area, where I have worked my way from a contracted employee with TEKSystems at Nintendo, to full time employment for Nintendo in software certification.
