About Ryan Murphy

I am a citizen Soldier, working as a civilian mental health counseling and as an Army National Guard Officer. I am currently enrolled in a CAPM course and will hopefully gain that certification early 2023. After that I plan on attending Webster University through the Little Rock Air Force Base to obtain my MBA. My plan is to branch out from mental health services in order to better align my civilian career with my military career-Mental Health Therapist since 2008. I've worked in a variety of settings and with all populations over the years. I have been focusing my efforts on working with the adult population for the last 6-7 years. I am currently working as an independent contractor through telehealth platforms and have been doing this for since mid 2019-Field Artillery Officer in the Arkansas Army National Guard since 2010. 1 overseas deployment. Being an officer in the Army National Guard has given me the unique opportunity to be exposed to multiple leadership positions and job functions. Each position is typically held for 12-18 months at a time. Several of these positions require formal education and training through military schools. I have gone through the standards for becoming an officer (Army Basic Training, Officer Candidate School, Field Artillery Basic Officer Leadership Course, Field Artillery Captains Career Course). I have also attended Army Basic Instructor Certification Course, Small Group Facilitation Course, Army Tactical Certification Course, Unit Movement Officer Certification Course, Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Victim Advocate Certification Course, Sexual Harrassment/Assault Response and Prevention Career Course to be certified as a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator. I will soon be leaving battery command to accept my promotion to O4 Major and will be working with the Joint Force Headquarters as a Planning Officer.
