About Ryder Rogers

Ryder Rogers is a United States Foreign Service Officer with over 20 years of experience driving regional cooperation, economic development, and multilateral engagement. He currently serves as the Director of the Environment Office with USAID/Philippines, Pacific Islands and Mongolia. He oversees a diverse portfolio of technical assistance, including climate change, energy security, biodiversity conservation, improving water and sanitation access, and reducing ocean plastics. Before moving to the Philippines, Mr. Rogers served as the Director of USAID/Central Asia’s Economic Development Office in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where he led USAID’s efforts on regional trade, energy, and environmental resources management. As a Foreign Service Officer since 2008, he has also completed assignments in Uzbekistan, Washington DC, Timor-Leste, and Ukraine. Mr. Rogers previously worked in the non-profit sector in Washington DC, and served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan. Mr. Rogers has a proven ability to lead high-profile initiatives and manage large-scale technical assistance portfolios. He is well practiced at developing transformative partnerships with senior government officials, international organizations, and private sector entities. He has strong expertise in policy development, regional integration, and multi-stakeholder coordination. Ryder is a native of San Angelo Texas, currently assigned to the Philippines with his wife Nailya and their three small children. Ryder's hope is to help to leave them a more sustainable world where they can grow and prosper.
