About Rylee Allen

I have been volunteering in music education since High School. I attend Berklee College of music for Music Education and Piano Performance, and have done over 30 hours of teaching observation. Currently I am the Vice President of the Boston-based nonprofit organization, Colorful Bridges. My experience in music tutoring and piano instruction has thus far been volunteer work, which I pride myself on. However, I am looking for consistent, paid work as a private instructor or tutor as I am wrapping up my last two year at Berklee. My musical tastes include virtually every genre, but my (music) educational background is classical and jazz. I have also been studying Latin music for the past two years, as well as beginning to learn more about the foundations of R&B, Funk, and Soul. I believe in accessible arts education and therefore consider lesson cost to be negotiable, and believe a well-rounded music education is built to the students' needs, and includes ear training, theory, and playing and performance development. Lastly, I believe that I am not only quick on my feet, but extremely willing to learn whatever is necessary to make myself the best fit possible for you, your studio, or your company.
