About Saanidhya Vats

I am a Research Assistant at Northeastern University, where I am pursuing my master's degree in computer science with a focus on natural language processing and computer vision. I am passionate about developing and deploying innovative solutions for urban data analysis, semantic segmentation, and prostate cancer detection using deep learning and geospatial technologies. With three research papers, one of which was published in an conference, I have introduced a novel deep network architecture that achieved state-of-the-art accuracy. I have also contributed to open-source libraries, such as adding a functionality for symmetric matrices, and won the Jury Recognition in the Amdocs Hackathon, competing against participants. Previously, I worked as a software engineer at India Urban Data Exchange, where I created applications for optimizing routes, detecting illegal dumping sites, and ensuring real-time equitable waste distribution. These projects leveraged graph neural networks, Pytorch, and Google Earth Engine Python API. I am actively looking for summer 2024 internships that will allow me to apply my expertise and enthusiasm to real-world problems and challenges. I possess a continuous drive for learning new skills and technologies, and I am always ready to take on new and exciting projects.
