About Saeed Sarani

Saeed Sarani is the Executive Director for the Coalition for the Advancement of Mathematics and Science Education in Oklahoma (CASMEO). He is an experienced Grant Manager, STEM Innovator, Educational Analyst, and an active leader with over two decades of experience reviewing and collaborating with STEM programs statewide. Additionally, Mr. Sarani has over a decade of experience studying and improving the practical application and systemic use of data to enhance adult educators' experiences in educational and workforce settings. He has diligently worked to create awareness about the importance of adult education in the state. He has an extensive background in the education system in Oklahoma public education, including mathematics faculty, high school diploma completion faculty, higher education program administration, migrant worker high school equivalency programs director, program review on research and data analysis executive director, as well as federal and state grants manager. Mr. Sarani successfully assisted in passing legislation to address Oklahoma's shortage of qualified workers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). He also co-authored the Oklahoma Elementary Mathematics Specialist Teacher Certification Process to recruit and retain elementary mathematics educators. In addition, he has co-authored several articles in academic journals, served on and led school accreditation teams, presented at numerous conferences and events, and served as a board member and officer for educational organizations in Oklahoma. Mr. Sarani holds a Bachelor's and Master of Science degrees in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Florida and Oklahoma State University, and M.Ed. in Instructional Leadership and Academic Curriculum from the University of Oklahoma, and an M.B.A. in Management from Oklahoma City University. He currently lives in Edmond, Oklahoma, with his wife, where they raised their family and enjoyed the city's continued growth.
