About Sally Dyer

Hello! I am a Fine Artist based in Preston, Lancashire. I have studied art since leaving school in 2005, completing my studies with a Masters in Fine Art in 2013. These years in Art education have influenced my passion for all things creative. I love to make, draw, paint and print and enjoy sharing my enthusiasm for creativity with others by facilitating workshops, co-ordinating events and teaching adults and children of all age and abilities the joys of making. I am passionate about crafting inclusive, accessible creative learning opportunities and specialise in working with young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and mental health issues. My main love as a practicing Artist is Portraiture. I have appeared on Sky Arts Portrait Artist of the Year twice, getting through to the Semi Finals of the competition in 2014 and the London heats in 2017. I have painted famous sitters James Norton, Richard Dawkins and Daniel Roche during the competition and since then been commissioned to create bespoke work for private clients. This is something I would love to continue to do more of.
