About Sam Howell

Over 25 years of ministry experience as Children’s Pastor, Senior Pastor, Youth Minister, Teacher, and Evangelist. • Graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center, I also hold a Bachelor of Theology from Christian Life School of Theology, a Bachelor of Arts and a Master’s Degree in Organizational Leadership from Bethel University. • As a veteran of the Navy, Marines, and as a Police Officer, Firefighter, Chief of Security at a GM assembly plant, and businessman, I have a rich history of serving and caring for others. • Currently serve and travel out of Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park, MN. • Ordained through Rhema Ministerial Association International since 1988; • 20+ years of ministry experience including administration, planning, preparation and conduct of services, often in a multiple service format, recruiting and training volunteers; • Mentoring leaders and future leaders in various organizations; • Conducting seminars and workshops for Children’s ministers and volunteers; • Planning, coordinating, and conducting “KidsKamps,” bringing churches together over a multi-state area for wilderness camping experiences; • Administrating and conducting classes for Life Christian University through a local satellite campus; • Utilized as a local expert to augment teaching for Organizational Leadership college coursework. As a manager/executive at a large interstate bus company, I successfully managed the labor relations with three separate labor unions including contract negotiations, grievance procedures, mediation, and arbitration. • Enacted programs to reduce or eliminate outsourcing, saving the company nearly • Collaborated with management team to initiate, research, train, and implement new dispatching software that allows full integration into all the other functions of the organization, including vehicle maintenance, payroll, on-time performance, customer service, customer facing technologies, and a host of other issues.
