About Sam Stephen

Sam has been chasing after his creative passions ever since he was a young boy growing up in Aberdeen, Scotland, and for a few years in Perth, Australia. Having completed professional training in dance at the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and Musical Theatre at TTC, Essex, graduating in 2009, Sam's performing career has taken him to numerous stages worldwide, including cruise ships, theatres, arenas, and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Complementing his performing career, Sam has devoted himself to the fields of education, arts and culture, and health and well-being. A versatile creative, he specialises in working with children and adults who have severe or complex needs, trauma, adverse childhood experiences, and/or disabilities. With partnerships across private, public, and third-sector organisations, Sam is well-versed in promoting access, safeguarding, inclusivity, diversity, and equal opportunities.“I’ve always been proud of my desire to be curious. This inherent curiosity has led me around the world into communities, and places, so far away from the simple surroundings of my childhood, in the northeast of Scotland. As a result of this wealth of adventure, it has given me the privilege to meet so many people, hear their stories, and see life from different perspectives. It’s taught me that we’re all so wildly different, imperfectly perfect some may say, but very similar - all at the same time.”
