About Sandra Cormack

As an organisation representing HR professionals in Australia and internationally, it’s a challenge to continuously provide for the ever-changing needs of our members. AHRI has been providing HR resources for 75 years, but in recent years the pace of change has increased considerably, particularly as technology has developed. We remain Australia’s only professional association for HR, but only because we have been able to constantly adapt and innovate. My responsibilities as the National Manager of Strategic Development include developing the strategies that deliver the products and services that continue to solve the key business challenges of our members. The AHRI team consider ways of improving our services to better match our members’ requirements and ensure they continue to be world's best practice. For instance we regularly review and revise our specialist event, training and development programs based on the latest research, emerging trends, industry demand and participant feedback. For AHRI it is important to shape and build products and services in partnership with our key stakeholders. As well as these programs, the conferences, academic accreditation, Award and mentoring programs are the highest standard and the most relevant available; and through the latest information, research and publications we keep members up to date with the ever-changing HR and business landscape. HR professionals rely on our experience and specialist knowledge to develop the HR resources that bring growing value to their membership and help them improve their people strategies for their organisation or clients. Outside of the AHRI, I’m a Sydney Swans fan and enjoy films and current affairs, both locally and globally.
