About Sandra Dickie

Licensed RN and APRN in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, BLS certified. I have a Masters Degree in Nursing, and am board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have a current Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration. I am committed to nursing and will provide compassionate, quality care to patients of all ages and backgrounds. I have a strong interest in work that embraces the whole person. While employed part time at an outpatient Adolescent Medicine Clinic, I provided primary and urgent care to a diverse population of 13-26 year olds. In my work part time as a school nurse at a drop-out prevention public school in Framingham, I provide high risk youth with health education and support. With nine years of experience in College Health, adolescent and young adult health is my passion. I am always excited to learn, and willing to seek help from those around me. As a team player, I work well with all levels of staff. I have over ten years of experience working with interpreters and patients of a variety of backgrounds as a volunteer at the MetroWest Free Medical Program Women's Health Clinic. My bachelor's degree is in Natural Resources, with an emphasis on environmental policy, advocacy and education. I have a strong interest in bridging this background with all I do in nursing. I believe in respectful, quality care for all patients, and strive to convey this in my interactions with everyone in the workplace. Outside of nursing, I own a therapy dog-in-training and am a strong supporter of the use of animals in care of people. I am also a founding member of an alternative education center that emphasizes child-led learning, focusing on individual needs and interests within a respectful community environment.
