About Sandy Baldwin

On January 6, 1992, I joined the staff of City Union Mission as the Assistant to the Director of Community Relations and later was the Director of Community Relations overseeing the Mission’s media and church communications. These days in my role as Donor Relations Manager. I assist in building and strengthening Builders For Life Major Donor relationships and assist with ways to communicate the Mission’s message through various mediums, internet, radio, television, print and events. I can give a perspective from the inside of the Mission, along with my years prior to being on staff as a donor and volunteer which began in 1980, just like those I interact with who have a "heart for the homeless.""Hope Lives Here" at City Union Mission and has since the doors of the Mission opened on September 15, 1924. On the personal side, I was married to David Baldwin, founder of EverForward Ministries, who volunteered for 13 years at the Mission teaching the men on the Christian Life Program. David was tragically killed in an automobile accident in August 2010 and I was injured. After 4 months of recovery, I returned to the Mission and my goal is to "finish strong" until the Lord calls me "home."
