About Sanjay Kapoor

As a business leader in the healthcare industry, I love having a positive impact on the lives of others. After a successful career in international nonprofit management and community health, I decided to transition to corporate healthcare so that I could impact the industry from within. Over my 21 years with Kaiser Permanente (KP), I have progressed through positions of increased responsibility based on my proven strengths in program management, team leadership, and process improvement. I enjoy collaborating with business leaders to create and implement initiatives that improve how we operate and create exceptional customer satisfaction. In addition to business management, I enjoy sharing my vision and leading strategic initiatives to address issues related to inclusion, cultural competency, and workforce health. Notably, I created, from the ground up, KP’s MindfulHub, an enterprise-wide mindfulness program devoted to improving employee resilience and mental health, accessible to over employees. Through teaching and facilitating mindfulness meditation, I have helped employees across KP to improve their self-awareness and compassion for self and others. I also presented at multiple internal conferences on mental health awareness and reduction of stigma in the workplace. I was also deeply involved in KP’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE & I) efforts and am co-chair for the Equity, Inclusion, and Diversity program within the Marketing and Digital Services Organization. This group facilitates diversity and cross-cultural trainings to 200+ employees.One of my proudest accomplishments was being nominated for KP’s highly selective Accelerated Leadership Development Program which helped me enhance my leadership and mentoring skills.
