About Sara Rose

I am a private practice registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist (PPDMP) and trainee creative clinical supervisor specialising in working with people living with brain injury. DMP has a unique approach to working with the body and mind, verbally and non-verbally and supports people to make sense of their experiences. My experience covers working in groups and with individuals ranging from very young to elderly. I work with Autism, physical and learning disadvantaged and Deaf/deaf people. I have experience of working with Alzheimers, Dementia and Parkinson's as well as autoimmune diseases. I am currently a postgraduate student at the University of Derby studying the use of DMP with the Family experience of Brain Injury. I also work as a community dance artist and have a keen interest in bringing people together through dance and music. I am passionate about inclusivity and champion inclusive dance practice. I still find time to perform dance when I can too.
