Background

About Sarah Tipping

A strategic thinker with significant experience of working at board level across Local Government, Housing and the NHS. Through years of experience in complex partnership environments I have developed the skills to navigate cross boundary working and the challenges it can present. This includes working at a senior level locally, regionally and nationally. With the ability to be as comfortable on the street chatting to the public as I am with a seat at the board table, communication and engagement skills are of great importance to me. My calm, diplomatic and sensitive nature allows me to lead with integrity and confidence, always remaining focused on the communities that I ultimately serve as a professional. I have particular interest in the Wellbeing of Future Generations Act, Social Services and Wellbeing Act and the Equality Act - policy areas that I have many years of experience operating within. This includes working closely with Regional Partnership Boards and Public Service Boards. I am no stranger to the board table and have experience of sitting on both sides - holding the position of a Non-executive Director for a local housing association since 2019. It’s a privilege to work in the public sector in Wales and I’m proud to do so.
