About Sarah Weishaar

Since I was three, I have had a dream- a dream to serve others. Although it could be assumed a three year old knows nothing about mission work, God instilled a passion in me at a young age to serve Him. I have always wanted to do anything to not only win others for Him, but strengthen the faith of those who already believe in Him. Becoming a Director of Family Life Ministries is enabling me to fulfill my lifelong passion of serving the Lord. Through this vocation, I would be able to use Biblical basis to console and encourage families. Through my recent activity in the public school system and my exposure to teens, I have realized they are the ones who need the most help. It is confusing enough to try to go through this world without having the added social pressure of perfection and artificiality. Today’s teens are inundated with media and peers that try to persuade them to be something they are not. As today’s youth continues to buy into this peer pressure, parents also need a support system to guide them to make wise decisions to encourage and inspire their teens. Through a minor in youth ministries, I hope to show God’s grace and mercy to youth. In conjunction with that, I will also be able to console and encourage parents as they try to lead their children on the right path. I believe God has big plans for all people and He wants them to shine in every way possible. I can follow God’s plan for my life. I have worked hard to get to this point in my life. God has led me to this career and he will give me a way to get through this. Jeremiah 29:11 says: “I know the plans I have for you’” declares the LORD, “Plans to prosper you not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.” God’s plans for us are more than we could ever imagine. I cannot wait to see what God’s plans for the rest of my life are!
