About Sari Smart

For over twelve years, I’ve built a distinguished and diverse career across multiple sectors as an IT Service Desk Consultant, Program Specialist, Communication Director, Marketing & Sales Specialist, and Operations Director. I possess a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and enhancing the customer experience while overseeing cross-functional teams in the education, athletic, travel, and fitness industries. Throughout the years, I’ve gained valuable knowledge and insight into project management, risk mitigation, and conflict resolution. As a team, I’ve been responsible for hiring, training, scheduling, and managing multiple teams. My passion for people allows me to build valuable partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to create a collaborative environment based on teamwork and communication. I recently completed a Master of Science in Sustainability Science, Policy & Society from University Maastricht and I possess a Master of Science in Recreation & Leisure Services Management from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Texas A&M University. I also participated in an Integrated Sustainability Project and served on the Climate Action Committee and the Climate Action Pursuit Committee from 2020 – 2021.
