About Sascha Fast
After the achievement of ATP-licence at RWL-German-Flight-Academy in August 1996, I have started my career as First Officer for Aero Lloyd in January 1997. During the first 2 years I flew on MD-80 aircrafts, thereafter on A320 until the company went into liquidation in October 2003. Then I successfully applied as a Co-Pilot with LTU International Airways, flying the A320 and after one year additionally the A330. With the acquisition of LTU, I signed the contract with Air Berlin PLC & Co. In March 2011 I was promoted to Relief Pilot for the long haul flights, as one of the first four colleagues within Air Berlin. I am married since 2009 and father of a son, born in 2009. In my spare time I play the great highland bagpipes and am a member of a pipe-band.
