I have a background in statistical data analysis, trend identification and prediction. Modeling required raw input data to be filtered and cleaned, then converted to SAS data sets for processing. Multiple correlation and regression identified key data drivers and trends. Prediction accuracy was limited by errors in model fit to empirical time series. Non-parametric methods were used to test model fit robustness where data noise stationarity and normality could not be assumed. Analysis results were tailored for presentation to both technical and non-technical clients. Recently I have been providing home health care to the elderly and disabled in the Boston area. I work for a health services agency servicing local communities. I learned the skills. patience and importance of this caring for my ailing mother in the latter years of her life. I've been getting hands-on experience of the needs and challenges of elder care. Providing emotional support to clients, monitoring treatment progress, and encouraging coping skills for daily living. I also record physical and emotional changes, and check medications and vital signs. Encouraging nutrition, exercise and a positive outlook for longevity and healing. Client challenges include dementia, Alziemer’s, diabetes, stroke, alcoholism, and loss of sight/limb. The treatment regimens are implemented under guidelines and local/state resources of the low-income MA Home Care Program. I am very interested in applying my data analysis skills to health care. To assess and quantify treatment outcomes, and patient care regimens and administration. To develop, test and assess models of health care services and delivery systems. These might include cost/benefit and patient risk analysis, within clinical trial treatment scenarios.
