About Scott Haner

A technology professional should be passionate about what technology can do for our future, the opportunities it creates, and the problems it solves. As an avid follower of tech news and the advancement of technology I have been successful as a technology professional in the industry for over fifteen years. My range of experience extends from front line and end user support, through manufacturing systems, remote mine site support, to my primary expertise in windows servers and infrastructure design and support. Throughout my career since graduating as primary developer on our senior project winning team, I have experienced rapid increases in responsibility and independence. I have been responsible for complex project and budget management while being the primary technical resource for said projects with minimal oversight. As a result of this career path I have strong values based on understanding the work being performed by a team to truly understand the effort required to succeed. I have found success in these values by frequently being the only technical resource available at all hours including after hours providing critical business support. This experience providing support at all hours for critical systems sensitive to downtime allowed me to be a key resource during a multi-server ransomware attack wherein all impacted systems were restored to full service within eight hours with no ransom paid. When not ensuring critical systems are maintained and secure, I maintain a variety of hobbies. This includes expanding my own technology news, reviews and gaming brand, TechZerker. Beyond technology I am an avid motorsports enthusiast with a focus on road racing and classic BMWs. I am involved in all aspects of grassroots racing as a volunteer, driver and mechanic while discussing the subject through my Driving Shift brand.
