About Seon Pollard

I am a multimedia storyteller who recently graduated from Hunter College. Over the past year, I interned at Bloomberg News and Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors Without Borders), gaining experience in video editing and production, copyediting, creating newsletters, and reporting for broadcast and print. Prior to that, I regularly created and produced multimedia content for many campus publications such as the Hunter Envoy, the Hunter Athenian and Hunter News Now. For my story on class group chats, I won an award from Headliners in Education. In my senior year, I was selected to give a speech to my fellow graduates in the film and media department. As the current associate editor of Datleline:CUNY, I showcase the work of the University's student journalists by posting and promoting their stories on our website and social media. I also write articles that highlight how students cover newsworthy topics. Since 2019, I have been an assistant in my local church's communications & audio/visual department. In this role, I create impactful videos that highlight church accomplishments, co-manage our Facebook page and help produce our weekly church services.
