About Seth Adema
I am an instructor in the School of Justice and Human Services at Lethbridge College, teaching in the corrections diploma and applied bachelors degree program. I began my career in academia, earning my PhD in the history of Indigenous involvement in the justice system, which I completed in 2016 at Wilfrid Laurier University. Since then, I worked in justice policy from a number of angles. First I was a policy advisor at Chiefs of Ontario, where I worked on behalf of the 133 First Nations in Ontario, mostly on justice and child and family well being files. I then worked at the Ontario Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services as a Senior Policy Advisor, developing legislative and regulatory options for corrections reform in Ontario.
