About Sezai Leventoglu
Professor Leventoğlu graduated from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine and completed his specialization in General Surgery at the same university. He is currently serving as a faculty member at Gazi University Faculty of Medicine, Department of General Surgery. In addition to his specialization in general surgery, Prof. Dr. Sezai Leventoğlu gained significant experience in colorectal surgery by working at a prominent center abroad. He has brought this knowledge and experience back to his university upon his return. Sezai Leventoğluü MD acts as a consultant for the Endoscopy and Proctology Unit, the Stomatherapy Unit, and the Anorectal Neurophysiology Unit. He has earned national and international prestige in the fields of colorectal surgery and proctology through the patient series and clinical research articles he has produced in these units, and he has been invited to panels and conferences. He obtained the FEBS-Coloproctology title by passing the European Board of Coloproctology Examination (EBSQ). Dr. Leventoğlu serves as the national representative of the European Society of Coloproctology (ESCP) and is a member of the program organizing committee for the ESCP's annual congress. He is also a board member of the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery. Prof. Leventoğlu teaches the subjects "Colorectal and Pelvic Floor Surgery Anatomy,""Benign Diseases of the Anorectal Region,""Precancerous Colonic Lesions," and "Pelvic Floor Diseases" to fourth-year medical students in both English and Turkish. Since 2008, Prof. Leventoğlu has been involved as an instructor in the certification of general surgeons in colonoscopy-endoscopy, directed to Gazi University Faculty of Medicine's General Surgery clinic by the Turkish Surgical Society. He has also served as an assistant editor for the Turkish Journal of Colon and Rectal Diseases, the official publication of the Turkish Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and Gazi Medical Journal, the official publication of Gazi University Faculty of Medicine.
